The International Brain Initiative (IBI) welcomes the Aotearoa Brain Project (New Zealand) and Neurocenter Finland as its new Affiliates!

Aotearoa Brain Project (New Zealand)
The Aotearoa Brain Project (ABP) is a national initiative launched in 2023 dedicated to advancing brain health in Aotearoa New Zealand. By facilitating partnerships between neuroscientists, clinicians, community groups and indigenous communities, ABP aims to encourage innovative research and support equitable optimised and equitable brain health throughout life. The ABP is thrilled to have the opportunity to join the IBI, sharing common goals to promote brain health, ethics and a strong neuroscience workforce.

Neurocenter Finland
Neurocenter Finland is a unique collaboration network of neuroscience expertise. It was established as part of the Finnish health sector growth strategy in 2021, and as a follow-up, it is now part of the governmental health and well-being growth program in Finland. Its mission is to create better brain health and promote the development of personalized medicine by strengthening research collaboration and promoting innovations within neurosciences. The IBI is an important step for Neurocenter Finland in further strengthening its international collaborations and partnerships and to promote the visibility of Finnish high-quality neuroscience research, development and innovation globally.
